“The Truth About Rapunzel” By: The Super Girl Group (Week Of Oct 24 2011)

The raw footage of this little film was too funny, so I moved it around a bit (not much) added some music and left the rest as is. The reason the witch is silent when she first appears is because one of our members left early and there’d been no new discussion on who would replace her and of course, the voice of the witch! However, later the girls thought this was pretty funny so I exaggerated the dead silence and left it in. Remember, although the projects the kids do seem simple, they still have to plan and collaborate each aspect of even the shortest project; dialogue, story, plot, who is responsible for what, and all in English! A lot of work goes into these films along with a lot of conversation in both languages, (and sometimes French!) The creativity on the spur of the moment by all the SillyFish groups always amazes me, and their projects are always a delightful! The truth about Rapunzel? No long flowing hair, no magic, the man traded a cabbage for his baby, and the witch takes it…the end!

Without further ado I give you..,
